Board of Supervisors

About the Board of Supervisors

The five-member Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the County of Los Angeles. Created by the state Legislature in 1852, the Board has executive, legislative and quasi-judicial roles. Members are elected by voters in their respective districts and are limited to three four-year terms.

First District

Hilda L. Solis

I serve 20 of the County of Los Angeles’ unincorporated communities, from East Los Angeles to Rowland Heights, 20 cities, from Alhambra to Pomona, and 20 City of Los Angeles neighborhoods, from downtown to Eagle Rock – all communities rich in culture and diversity.

Holly J. Mitchell

Proudly representing the cities of Carson, Compton, Culver City, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Lawndale, Los Angeles (portion), Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach along with a dozen of unincorporated communities including Florence Firestone, Marina Del Rey, and more.

Third District

Lindsey P. Horvath

Humbly serving the San Fernando Valley, the Santa Monica Mountains, and the Westside of Los Angeles. Along with my incredible team, I represent 10 cities and 26 unincorporated communities - from West Hollywood to Malibu, Topanga to Chatsworth, Pacoima to Santa Monica.

My office represents the communities of Southeast LA County, the Gateway Cities, Long Beach, the Harbor Area, the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Torrance and Catalina Island.
