I inherited property from my parents. Why was the property reassessed?

If you inherit property from your parents, you have to fill out a Proposition 58 (Transfer of Property between Parents/Children) form with the Assessor’s Office. Otherwise, the Assessor’s Office will reassess the property. For more information, log onto: http://assessor.lacounty.gov/
