Frequently Asked Questions

If I filed an assessment appeal, do I still have to pay my property taxes?

Yes, you do. The Assessment Appeal Board does not have jurisdiction over collection of taxes. Filing an assessment appeal does not relieve the applicant from the obligation to pay the taxes on the subject property, on or before the applicable due date shown on the tax bill. If your property taxes are not paid by the due date, the Tax Collectors' Office will add the late payment penalties/interest to the tax bill.
