About
The Executive Office's Customer Service Center is the public’s first point of contact. We strive to provide information and resolution to the Board of Supervisors, County departments, constituents and the general public. We are committed to providing the highest level of service to our customers by making County government more transparent and accessible to all. We manage the front reception desk and we also provide logistical support for Board meetings.
Services
Board Meeting Support
Assists member of the public in in-person Board meeting participation and facilitates in the administration of presentations and meeting logistics.
Information & Referrals
Provides information and referral services, in person and telephonically, to County departments and members of the general public.
Conference Room Reservations
Coordinates and processes reservation requests received by County departments interested in utilizing various conference rooms, hearing rooms, and Board balconies at the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration. In coordination with this service, it also processes guest parking requests received from the Board of Supervisors offices.
Board Correspondence
Posts online correspondence received by the Executive Office that is addressed to a quorum of three or more County Supervisors (https://lacounty.gov/government/board-of-supervisors/board-correspondence).
Lowering of Flags
Upon verifying the holiday or death of a person for whom the flags are to be flown at half-staff, the appropriate departments are notified via electronic memo (Board Policy 3.100).
Public Forums
Provides staff support to the Board of Supervisors at meetings that are open to the public. Assists members of the public with access to self-service kiosks and the mobile QR Code used for signing up to address the Board. It also assists with answering questions pertaining to the Board meeting and Board presentations; and provides direction for the coordination of public attendance.
Claim for Damages to Person or Property
Claims for Damages to Person or Property forms against the County of Los Angeles are filed and processed with the Customer Service Center on behalf of the Clerk of the Board (Executive Officer). Claims are subsequently investigated by the Office of the County Counsel, the Chief Executive Office Risk Management, or a Third-Party Administrator. Process of Services
Summons and Complaints against the County of Los Angeles or County Department can be served and are accepted by designated staff at:

Subpoenas are accepted for records maintained by the Board of Supervisors, only.

Claims for Damages to Person or Property
A signed, written claim shall be presented to the County of Los Angeles by mailing or delivering it to the Executive Officer-Clerk of the Board of Supervisors by the claimant or by the claimant's authorized agent.
A claim for death, injury to person or to personal property must be filed not later than 6 months after the occurrence. (Government Code Section 911.2).
All other Claims for Damages must be filed not later than one year after the occurrence. (Government Code Section 911.2) Presentation of a False Claim is a Felony (Penal Code Section 72).
